“Photography is way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you caught on film is captured forever…it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”

—Aaron Siskind

A little bit about me!

When I was growing up, my mom always carried her purse with her.  At a young age, it appeared she had everything she needed in her purse from buttons, safety pins, coins, gum and her camera.  She had a Vivitar 110, 24mm camera.  It was black with a rectangular body; that nestled in her purse.  She would take it out every time we went somewhere to take pictures of me and my siblings.  I remember waiting for her at home, waiting for her to walk in with sealed envelope containing the developed pictures.  My siblings and I would sit around her to look at the pictures.  I always enjoyed looking at the pictures and remembering the events.  My mom still has a camera, she's upgraded from the Vivitar to her iPhone.  Now when I visit her and look at her photo albums, I am reminded how a picture helps remember events we have forgotten.  At the end of a wedding, when I go back to my studio and begin to look at the pictures I took, it makes me happy to know that I've captured moments which will be remembered forever.
